First time ever, 06 months of Internship for IIT Hyderabad Students

IIT Hyderabad decides to let students go for a 06 months industrial internship in a first time ever.

In the history of Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Hyderabad, the institute has decided that students now can opt for a 06 months of internship, beginning from 2020-21 academic year.

Director - IIT Hyderabad - Shri. BS Murthy - said:

"Time and again students have complained that the summer internship is not just enough for them to get industry exposure. So, we have decided to allow them to take six month long internship".

This proposal of 06 months of internship has been passed by the senate and all the heads of the department and all senior faculty members of the IIT Hyderabad. This six-month-long internship will be implemented from this year 2020 August. Meanwhile students will be allowed to do interships in IITs only.
